The roots of Whiskey River Studios trace back to Wes Ashburn's entrepreneurial spirit, first demonstrated when he built successful ventures like the Music Loft and Computer Loft from the ground up in La Vernia. His many years of proven business ownership laid the groundwork for future innovation.
Life brought Wes together with Donna, owner of the beautiful Whiskey River property in Canyon Lake. Inspired by the serene Guadalupe River setting, Wes saw immense potential. Collaborating with skilled professionals, he brought a new vision to life – building the state-of-the-art studio facility from the ground up, perfectly positioned to serve the Canyon Lake community and surrounding areas like Bulverde, San Antonio, and beyond.
To truly make Whiskey River Studios thrive, it became a family affair. Wes welcomed his son, Evan Ashburn, whose many years in marketing and video production provide crucial modern media expertise. Joining them is Evan's wife, Sam Ashburn, bringing over a decade of invaluable professional audio and video production experience. Today, Evan spearheads the studio's operations, working closely with Sam and Wes. Together, this dynamic team blends decades of business acumen, marketing savvy, and production mastery, cultivating Whiskey River Studios into the unique, inspiring space it is today.
